Mrs. Margaret Gruber, 74, of 2121 Shorewood Dr., Appleton, former Manitowoc resident, died Saturday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Laemmrich Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Menasha. The Rev. David Lewis will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Gruber, nee Margaret Corry, was born August 21, 1903 in Menasha. She was a former elementary school teacher for 45 years, retiring in June of 1977. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Gruber of Chicago and Mrs. Virgil (Nancy) Gruel of Waukesha; three brothers, Gordon Corry of Madison, Matthew Corry of LaCrosse and Edward Corry of Menasha; five sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Grace) Grade of Lighthouse Point, Fla., Miss Mary Corry of Menasha, Mrs. John (Catherine) Wyngaard of Madison, Sister Raymond Mary, O.P. of Evanston, Ill., and Mrs. Patrick (Patricia) Sullivan of Appleton; eight grandchildren and four step grandchildren. Her husband and a son, Thomas preceded her in death.
Friends may call in Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee St., Menasha, 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Tuesday afternoon where a prayer service will be at 8 o'clock.
