Myrtle E. Gustavson, age 85, of 1433 N. Sixth St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday,
December 30, 1997, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Private family memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Janaury 3,
1998, at the Jens Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Meyer will officiate. Cremation
will have taken place, and burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Myrtle was born May 21, 1912, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late William and
Amanda (Lippert) Fischer. She married Chester E. Gustavson March 23, 1935, in
Waukegan, Ill. He preceded her in death in 1989. Survivors include one son and
daughter-in-law, Don and Edith Gustavson, San Diego, Calif.; three daughters
and sons-in-law, Jane and Robert Smith, Fairless Hills, Penn., Lois and Ronald
Brull, Manitowoc, Sandra and Phil Kopp, Lansdale, Penn.; 10 grandchildren;
nine great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Grant Gustavson, Manitowoc; one
sister-in-law, Evelyn Fischer, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one
brother, Omar Fischer.
The Jens Funeral Home and Crematory, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with
arrangements.
