John Haag, 78, of 1903 Fairmont St., Manitowoc, died early Friday morning at
Family Heritage Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral
Home and at 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev.
Leo J. Schmitt will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Haag was born Jan. 5, 1896, in the Town of Mishicot, son of the late
Mathias and Sophia Althen Haag. He was educated in the Mishicot area and farmed
in the Town of Mishicot until 1933. He then was employed at Manitowoc Equipment
Works until his retirement. He married Caroline Franz Nov. 20, 1929, in the Town
of Mishicot. He was a member of Holy Innocents Parish and the Machinists Union.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline, a son, Donald, and a sister, Mrs. Julia
Koch, of Manitowoc and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday,
where a prayer service will be at 8 p.m.
