Carl W. Haase, 74 formerly of 1515 S. 10th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning, May 16, at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arno J. Wolfgramm will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Haase was born June 21, 1907, at Manitowoc, son of the late Charles and Ida Reichel Haase. He grew up at Manitowoc, attending Manitowoc and Newton schools. He resided in the Manitowoc area all his life. He married Florence A. Rusboldt June 13, 1936, at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Mr. Haase worked for a while at Fischl Dairy Company, and later worked for 28 years at Rahr Malting Company which presently is Anheuser Busch Company, retiring in 1970. He was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Florence; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Mary Haase of Greendale, Wis.; a daughter and son-in-law, Karleen and Ned Vogt of Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Sara, Stephen and Matthew Haase, and Aaron and Rachel Vogt; two sisters, Mrs. Adolph (Martha) Fallier and Mr. Carola Levendusky of Manitowoc, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday until 11 a.m. and at church from noon until the time of services. Memorials are appreciated to First German Evangelical Lutheran Church or Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
