Mrs. Henry Haefke, 89, formerly of 2407 Meadow Ln., Manitowoc, died Friday at
Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Bethany Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Robert Sawall will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mrs. Haefke, nee Anna Bleichwehl, was born Oct. 7, 1880, in Town of Newton, daughter
of the late Henry and Meta Schleuter Bleichwehl. On Oct. 21, 1903, she was married
to Henry Haefke and the couple located in Town of Manitowoc Rapids where they lived
until 1916 when they moved to Manitowoc. Mr. Haefke died in 1932, and three brothers
and a sister also preceded her in death.
She was a charter member of the Ladies Aid societies of the Newtonburg and Bethany
Lutheran churches.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 4 p.m. Sunday
until Monday noon and then at the church until time of services.
