AUGUST H. HAESE (d. 1991)
August H. Haese, 74, of 1818 Belmont St., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning,
February 3, 1991, at the V. A. Medical Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, at Redeemer Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc, Rev. Richard C. Miller will officiate with burial to follow
at Evergreen Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the Cemetery by the
Amvets Post NO. 99.
He was born November 23, 1916, at Wayside, Wisconsin, son of the late Arthur
and Lilly Haese. He attended schools in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and graduated
from Lincoln High School in 1936. He served with the United States Army in
World War II from July of 1941 until December of 1945. He was employed at Dick
Brothers Bakery as a Route Salesman for 41 years retiring in 1974. He was
married to Marcella E. Just April 27, 1946, at Redeemer Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Redeemer Mens Club,
life member of the D.A.V. Manitowoc Chapter No. 24 and the Amvets Post No. 99
of Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Marcella; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Nancy
Haese of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Mike Check
of Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Matthew and Joanna Haese and Ryan, Joshua and
Jenna Check; a sister, Mrs. Marcella Culloden of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; his
mother-in-law, Mrs. Bessie Just of Manitowoc; nieces; nephews; other relatives
and frends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur, a sister, Louella
Frederickson.
Friends may call at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. until
the time of services on Wednesday. Memorials would be appreciated for Redeemer
Lutheran Radio Ministry or Redeemer Lutheran Church. Reinbold-Pfeffer Urbanek
and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral
arrangements.
