James R. Haese, age 60, of 215 E. Reed Ave., Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 22, 2006, at North Ridge Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, following a one-day stay. He was born April 26, 1945, in Manitowoc, son of the late Ralph and Harriett (Griebling) Haese. Jim was baptized and confirmed at Wesley United Methodist Church, Manitowoc, He was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1963, and Milwaukee Technical College in 1965 with an associate's degree in electronics. Jim moved back to Manitowoc and was employed at Point Beach Nuclear Plant at the start-up of the plant from 1969 to 1987. On Oct. 20, 1973, he married the former Ruth L. Anhalt at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was presently employed on a part-time basis at Silver Lake College, as an electronics technician. Survivors include his wife: Ruth Haese, Manitowoc; his mother-in-law: Esther Anhalt, Manitowoc; a brother-in-law: Allan Anhalt, Phoenix, Ariz.; an aunt: Jessie Bacon, Manitowoc; and cousins: Kay Drida, Manitowoc; Joanne (Lester) Maresh, Milwaukee; Sandie Mitcheltree, Milwaukee. Also surviving are other cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother: Steven; and a brother: Gary. Cremation has occurred with burial of the cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, at a later date. If desired, memorials may be made to Lakeshore Humane Society or Silver Lake College.
