HAROLD D. HALSTROM

Mr. Harold D. Halstrom, 74, of 1428 N. 16th Street, Manitowoc, died Sunday,
July 17, 1988 at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm
Tuesday at Jens Funeral Home. Rev. William Plank will officiate and Masonic
Services will also be held. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Halstrom was born June 13, 1914 at Two Rivers, son of the late Charles (Carl)
and Eva Grant Halstrom. He attended schools in Two Rivers. Mr. Halstrom was a
machinist and pattern maker at Eck Industries in Manitowoc from 1957 until his
retirement in 1979. Prior to that, Mr. Halstrom was employed at Brillion Iron
Works and Manitowoc Shipbuilding. He married the former Margaret Schladweiler
on December 31, 1938 at Two Rivers. The couple came to Manitowoc to make their
home. Mr. Halstrom was a member of Masonic Lodge, Tripoli Shrine, 32nd Degree
Mason and First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and
Nancy Halstrom of Manitowoc and Leon Paul and Sang Hyon Halstrom of Portsmouth,
Virginia; two daughters and a son-in-law, Diann and Gene Monreal of Los Angeles,
California and Bonnie Casto of Goodsprings, Nevada; two brothers and a sister-in-
law, Marvin and Carol Halstrom of Two Rivers and Norval Halstrom of Shriverville,
Louisiana; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and other relatives and
friends survive. He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, 12 noon Tuesday and until the time of
service at 1:30 pm. There will be no Monday evening visitation.
