EDWARD HEIDE (aka HALTAUFDERHEIDE)
Edward Heide, 78, a resident at the Manitowoc County Hospital since August of
last year, died Monday morning after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Leschke Funeral
Home, Manitowoc, the Rev. Paul Blaufuss officiating, and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born at Cooperstown Jan. 27, 1875, and previous to retirement was a boat
hand on the Peter Reiss. His wife, the former Clara Hill, died in 1912. Prior
to moving to the hospital he had resided with a nephew, Harold Heide, at Two
Rivers.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Edgar Thurston? of Kankakee, Ill., and Mrs.
Martha St. Germaine of Portland, Ore.; a brother, Herman of Denmark and 11
grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Tuesday until the hour of
services.
