ARTHUR HANSEN

Arthur Hansen, 63, of 1319 Philippine St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Edmund Olson will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Hansen was born April 28, 1914 in Manitowoc, son of the late Spencer and Emma Lensing Hansen. He attended Manitowoc schools and married Myra I. Kassner December 3, 1935 in Manitowoc, residing here all their lives. Following his schooling, Mr. Hansen was employed at White House Milk Co., and later with Mirro Alumunim Co. for 33 years as a cold coil mill operator, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the United States Steel Workers Union Local 6499 and former trustee and steward of the Union, member of the Democratic Party and former member of Odd Fellows Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Arthur L. at home; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Gwendoline and Ralph Markowski, Sharon and Alois Peserik, Nancy and Ronald Jorsch and Karyn and Gerald Nichels of Manitowoc and Evelyn Hansen of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Melton of Plymouth; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice and Louis Musial and Bernice and Arthur Marken of Manitowoc and Norma and Ruhl Metzger of Charlevoux, Mich.; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Jens Funeral Home, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday until 11 a.m. Friday and then in the church from noon until the time of service.
