N. Marcus Hansen, 71, of 1621-19th St. Two Rivers, died Monday at Holy Family
Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Vernon Anderson will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Hansen was born Sept. 2, 1896, at Manitowoc, son of the late Halvor and
Dina Nelson Hansen. He attended the agricultural school at Minneaapolis (sic),
Minn., and was employed as a partner in Nelson Lumber Co., Two Rivers, a firm
which his grandfather founded. He was employed by Burger Boat Co., Manitowoc,
until 1963. He married Ruth Schmiedicke Oct. 21, 1929, at Manitowoc. He was a
member of the Brotherhood of the church and was a veteran of World War I.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, two sons (Private); two sisters,
Mrs. Hans Ertz of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Mrs. Arthur Pitz of Manitowoc; and
three grandchildren. Five brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m. Tuesday until
11 a.m. Wednesday when the body will be moved to lie in state at the church.
Lutheran Brotherhood services will be conducted at 9 p.m. Tuesday at the
funeral home.
