ROLAND M. HANSEN

Roland Hansen, 81, formerly of 812 State St., Manitowoc died Monday
evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Lutheran
Chapel, Manitowoc. The Rev. Bruce Handstedt will officate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Hansen was born April 2, 1893, at Manitowoc, son of the late
Anton C. and Amelia Sorenson Hansen. He attended Manitowoc schools
and was graduated from the local high school. He married Libbie Kretche
Nov. 12, 1919, at Manitowoc. She preceded him in death March 12, 1969.
He had been employed as a postal clerk, retiring in 1955. He was a member
of First Lutheran Church and the National Association of Retired Federal
Employees.
Survivors include a son, Leland, of Portland, Ore.; a daughter, Mrs.
Robert (Janet) Zabel, of Manitowoc; a brother, Warner Hansen, of Manitowoc;
a sister, Mrs. Marie Gehling, of Brulle, Wis., and three grandchildren. Two
brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 to
8 p.m. Wednesday until 11:30 a.m. Thrusday and at the chapel from noon until
the time of service. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church.
