HATTIE HOLTZ HANSON

Mrs. Benjamin (Hattie) Hanson, 94, of Park Lawn Home and formerly of 423 N.
Fifth St., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home. The Rev. Glenn H. Unke will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mrs. Hanson, nee Hattie Holtz, was born June 12, 1881, at Manitowoc, daughter
of the late John and Fredericka Plautz Holtz. She was reared and educated in
Manitowoc and was married to Benjamin Hanson Dec. 14, 1912, at Milwaukee. She
and her husband established residence in Manitowoc in 1913. Her husband, Capt.
Benjamin Hanson, preceded her in death Nov. 6, 1961. She was a member of
Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include nephews and nieces. Among them are Mrs. Chester ( Virginia )
Winkler and Mrs. LeRoy (Kay) Dorey, of Manitowoc, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy)
Templeton, of Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs. Anton (Joyce) Spaeth, of Two Rivers.
Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home from 4 to 9 o’clock this
Monday evening and Tuesday until the time of service. Memorials may be made to
Immanuel Lutheran Church building fund.
