JOHANNA HANSON (d. 1919)

Mrs. Johanna Hansen(sic), aged 77 years, widow of Louis Hansen, died
at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Rathsack, 633 North Seventh
street, at an early hour this morning after an illness of only one
week. Death was due to pneumonia. Mrs. Hansen was born in Christiana,
Norway and was married in that city, coming to America and Manitowoc
shortly after her marriage. The family always lived here and Mr.
Hansen for many years was a member of the police force of this city.
But one child was born to the couple, the daughter, with whom she
made her home for the past years. Mr. Hansen died twenty four years
ago. Besides the daughter, Mrs. Hansen is survived by one sister, Mrs.
Fred Bergerson, of this city and two brothers and two sisters at
Christiana, Norway. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon from
the late home and services will be held at 2 o'clock at St. Paul's
Norwegian Lutheran church. Rev. Espeseth officiating, interment will
be at Evergreen.
