Lyle R. Hanson, age 65, of 3241 S. Oak Tree Drive, Indianapolis, Ind., died
Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital, Ind.
He was born on Sept. 25, 1943, in Manitowoc, son of the late Lester R. and
Helen (O'Donnell) Hanson. Lyle was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School,
Class of 1961. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving from 1961
until his honorable discharge in 1963. On March 27, 1965, he married the
former Pamela J. Lahey at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She preceded
him in death on Feb. 17, 1992. Lyle was a baggage handler for Northwest
Airlines until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, NASCAR and was a beloved
Packer fan.

He was also preceded in death by two infant sons.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at The
Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo,
Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard
Klingeisen with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2009. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.
led by Deacon Kenn Nelesen. Friends may also call Saturday morning at the funeral
home from 8:30 a.m. until morning prayers at 9:30 a.m.
A memorial service will also be held in Indianapolis, Ind. That will be announced
at a later date.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, Wisconsin, is assisting the family with
funeral arrangements.
