CHARLES HARDOW (d. 1958)

Charles F. Hardow, 78, of 1233 S. 11th St., Manitowoc, died Friday morning at
Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, following a three weeks illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First German Evangelical Lutheran
Church, the Rev. ?.H. Koeninger officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen
Cemetery.
He was born Aug. ?, 1879, in Manitowoc, son of the late John and Fredericka
?uchnes Hardow. Fifty-four years ago he married the former Louise Arnholz of
Manitowoc. She preceded him in death nine years ago. Mr. Hardow was engaged in
the plumbing business with Otto Wi????mann who died in 1941 and since that time
continued the business under the name of the Hardow Plumbing Co. For the past
13 years he had been associated in the business with his son Paul. He was a
member of the Manitowoc Master Builders of Manitwooc County, member Manitowoc
Plumbers Assn. and in 19?? at the Plumbers Convention in Milwaukee received his
30 year membership pin in the National Association of Plumbing Contractors. He
was a charter member of the male choir of the church and served as a former elder
of the church.
Surviving are two daughters, Misses Gerturde and Helen of Manitowoc, son, Paul
of Manitowoc; brother, Elmer of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Johnson of
Manitowoc and Mrs. T.A. Stobbe of Two Rivers; and two grandchildren. Three
sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 2 p.m.
Sunday until 10:30 a.m. Monday when the body will be moved in the church to
