BERTHA HARDRATH

Mrs. Fred Hardrath, 90, (photo) lifelong resident of the county, died yesterday
at the home of her son, Carl, of 1222 Michigan avenue.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rockwood Lutheran
church. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. Hardrath was born in Maribel, her maiden name being Bertha Rabenhorst. She
was married to Fred Hardrath in 1874 and they located on a farm near Rockwood.
They observed their golden wedding in 1924. He died a short time later. She has
made her home with the son for the past five years.

Survivors are five sons. Carl, Edward and Emil of this city; George and John of
route 5, Manitowoc; four daughters, Miss Esther Hardrath of Milwaukee; Mrs.
William Miller, Mrs. Emma Luedtke and Mrs. Clara Mrotek of this city; 30
grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert, rural route, Manitowoc;
two sisters, Mrs. Ida Karnopp of Ellisville, Wis., Mrs. Margaret Schuette of
Unity, Wis.

The body may be viewed at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home Friday afternoon
and evening and will be moved to the Rockwood church at 10 a.m. Saturday to lie
in state until the hour of the services.
