Edward B. Hardrath, 77, of 1818 Rankin St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday afternoon
at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm. Saturday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Glenn H. Unke will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Hardrath was born March 6, 1893, at Rockwood, son of the late Friedrich and
Bertha Rabenhorst Hardrath. He married Alma Gauger Oct. 6, 1920, at Maribel.
She preceded him in death May 23, 1937. He was employed as a general carpenter
in Manitowoc. Dec. 20, 1938, he married Malinda Sampe. He was a former member
and secretary of the Carpenters Local No. 849. He also served on the school
board of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Herbert of Hampton, Va., and Elmer of
Manitowoc, three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Luedtke and Mrs. Don (Joan)
Moder of Appleton and Mrs. William (Alice) Eisner of Manitowoc, three sisters,
Mrs. Emma Luedtke and r. Clara Mrotek of Manitwoc and Miss Ester Hardrath of
Milwaukee and 16 grandchildren. Eight brothers and a sister preceded him in
death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 4 p.m.
Friday until noon Saturday and then at the church until the time of service.
