Friederick Hardrath, Pioneer and Civil War Vet Passes: Friederich Hardrath, pio-neer settler of Manitowoc county and one of the few remaining veterans of the civil war in the county died Thursday at the Kossuth farm home which for sixty-seven years had been his residence, with exception of the time he was absent for service in the war. STROKE CAUSES DEATH - The death of Mr. Hardrath was due to a stroke of apoplexy which he suffered on Tuesday and from which he failed to rally during the two days he lingered. Returning here he was married in 1871 to Minnie Depons who passed away three years later and on November 20, 1874 Mr. Hardrath was again married, his bride being Bertha Rabenhorst, the couple having recently celebrated their golden wedding.
