Malinda Hardrath, 74, of 2103 Rankin St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning in
Park Lawn Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday in Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Glenn Unke will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Hardrath, nee Malinda Sampe, was born Sept. 9, 1903, in Manitowoc Rapids,
daughter of the late August and Caroline Spiegel Sampe. She attended Manitowoc
area public schools. She was employed at Eastman Manufacturing Company, retiring
in 1969. She was married to Edward Hardrath, Dec. 20, 1938, in Manitowoc. He
preceded her in death Sept. 23, 1970. Mrs. Hardrath was a member of Immanuel
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include two sons, Herbert of Hampton, Virginia, and Elmer of Manitowoc;
three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Luedtke of Appleton, Mrs. Donald (Joan) Moder of
Appleton and Appleton (sic) Mrs. William (Alice) Eisner of Manitowoc; a sister,
Mrs. Fredrick (Erna) Wilms of Manitowoc; 16 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Two sisters, Amanda Kluenke and Martha Carstens preceded her in death.
Friends may call in Schneider and Purath Funeral Home, Manitowoc from 3 to
