ELIJAH J. HARGRAVES

Elijah J. Hargraves, 86, of 1801 Franklin street, lifelong resident of city
and county, died this morning at the home, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Pfeffer funeral home,
the Rev. A. C. Fischer officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Hargraves was born in Kossuth in 1860. He moved to Manitowoc when a young
man and was employed as a ship carpenter at the Burger Boat company for many
years before retiring.
Survivors are his wife, Louisa; two sons, Elmer of Texas and William of this
city; three daughters, Mrs. Reinhart Pilger and Mrs. Herbert Menge of this city,
Mrs. William Klemme of Marshfield; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed from 2 p.m. Thursday until the hour of services at the
funeral home.
