JOHN T. HARRINGTON

John T. Harrington, 77, of 515 N. Fifth St., Manitowoc, died Saturday afternoon
at home following a coronary attack.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at
11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. James W. Caanen will
officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Harrington was born Nov. 7, 1893, at Two Rivers, son of the late Frank and
Adelaide Harrington. He married Margaret Mary Newcomb May 7, 1917, at Manitowoc.
She preceded him in death July 9, 1969. Prior to his retirement five years ago he
had been employed at the Aluminum Specialty Co. for more than 40 years as the chief
tool engineer. Mr. Harrington was a member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge No. 687.
Survivors include a son, Robert, of Hollywood, Fla., two daughters, Mrs. Wesley
(Lois) Martin, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Robert (Margie) Conlin, of Madison and 11
grandchildren. A daughter preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday where a Memorial
service will be held at 7:30 p.m. The casket will remain closed.

Miss Margaret Newcomb of this city and Mr. John Harrington of Two Rivers were
married at St. Boniface Church Monday morning. The attendants were Miss Marie
Robinson and James Melody of Sheboygan and Miss Rena Smith and Ben Wolf of Two
Rivers. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.R. Newcomb and is a popular
young lady. She has been employed as saleslady at the jewelry store at J. A.
Rummele. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Buda of Two Rivers and is
employed as machinist at the Aluminum Goods Manufacturing Plant at Two Rivers,
at the home of the bride's parents on South Seventeenth Street, after which Mr.
and Mrs. Harrington left on a wedding trip to Chicago and other points. Upon
the return they will make their home at Two Rivers.
