MARGARET M. HARRINGTON

Mrs. John Harrington, 73, of 515 N. Fifth St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday at
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she was a patient two weeks.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at
10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Claude Le Claire
will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Harrington, nee Margaret M. Newcomb, was born Nov. 10, 1895, at Plummer,
Wis., daughter of the late Edward and Eleanor McGinnis Newcomb. She came to
Manitowoc with her parents as a child and was married to John Harrington at
Manitowoc May 7, 1917. The couple marked its golden wedding in 1967. She was
a member of the Elks Auxiliary, Catholic Women’s Club and was an honorary
member of the Christian Mothers Altar Society of Sacred Heart parish.
Survivors include the husband; a son, Robert J., of Hollywood, Fla.; two
daughters, Mrs. Wesley (Lois) Martin, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Robert (Marjorie)
Conklin, of Madison; a sister, Mrs. Malcolm Warren, of Green Bay and 11 grand-
children. A daughter preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home where at 8 o’clock this Thursday evening
the Rosary will be recited.

Miss Margaret Newcomb of this city and Mr. John Harrington of Two Rivers were
married at St. Boniface Church Monday morning. The attendants were Miss Marie
Robinson and James Melody of Sheboygan and Miss Rena Smith and Ben Wolf of Two
Rivers. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.R. Newcomb and is a popular
young lady. She has been employed as saleslady at the jewelry store at J. A.
Rummele. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Buda of Two Rivers and is
employed as machinist at the Aluminum Goods Manufacturing Plant at Two Rivers,
at the home of the bride's parents on South Seventeenth Street, after which Mr.
and Mrs. Harrington left on a wedding trip to Chicago and other points. Upon
the return they will make their home at Two Rivers.
