Matthew C. Harsch, age 39, of 411 N. 5th St., Manitowoc, died Monday, Nov. 15,
1999 in English Center, Penn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999 at the Pfeffer
Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Chaplain Tom Walcott
of the United States Coast Guard with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc. Military graveside rites will be accorded by the United States Coast
Guard.
He was born July 26, 1960 in Muncy, Penn., son of the late Harold and Genevieve
Embick Harsch. Matthew was a chief in the United States Coast Guard and was
stationed in California. On April 27, 1999 he married the former Heidi Green in
Manitowoc. Matthew enjoyed Wisconsin and was looking forward to residing in
Manitowoc after retiring from the Coast Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Heidi, Manitowoc; three brothers and sister-in-law,
Chip and Jackie Harter, Jeff and Pauline Harter and Steve and Pamela Harsch, all
of Pennsylvania; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also
survive. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. The
family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been set up in Matthew's name at the Manitowoc
Community Credit Union.
