Leo J. Hartlaub, 22, a native of Manitowoc, died Wednesday October 14, in Kingman, Ariz, as the result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 9:30 am Friday in Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Bruce Huffer will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Hartlaub was born Sept. 3, 1956 in Manitowoc, son of the late Alphonse M. Hartlaub and Elizabeth Fehring Hartlaub. He attended Manitowoc Public Schools and was graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1974. He then joined the U.S. Air force and was discharged in August of 1978 after serving five years. He married Mary L. Kelley August 13, 1976 in Jacksonville, Ark.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two step-sons, Israel and Joshua of Pennsylvania; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Hartlaub of Manitowoc; two brothers, Gregory of Sheboygan and Ernest of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Diane) Frazier of Oostburg, Wis. and Mrs. David (Lois) Free of Branch and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call in Pfeffer Funeral Home 3 pm to 9 pm Thursday. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to Abate of Wisconsin.
