Charles A. Hartwig, 92, of 930 S. 14th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday afternoon
at home.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
with the Rev. Paul H. Blaufuss officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Hartwig was born Feb. 14, 1872, at Manitowoc, son of the late Carl and Margie
Bruins Hartwig. The lifelong city resident attended Manitowoc public schools and
married Anne Kulnick Oct. 27, 1896. She died Nov. 10, 1951. Before retiring 20
years ago he owned and operated Hartwig Tavern at 14th and Washington streets. He
was a member of Manitowoc Eagles Aerie 706.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss Lola Hartwig, and a sister, Mrs. Frank Hart, of
Manitowoc. A son, Harold, died in 1958.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday.
