CLARA I. (MAHNKE) HAUPT

Mrs. Clara I. Haupt, 93, formerly of 1010 Division St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday afternoon, May 14th, at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Friday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Arno J. Wolfgramm will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Haupt was born Sept. 24, 1892 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Christ and Bertha Wilsing Mahnke. She grew up and was educated at Manitowoc. She was married to Elmer A. Haupt July 11, 1917 at First German Evangelical Lutheran
Church. Elmer and his brother, Ray operated Haupt Brothers Bowling Alley for 23 years. Elmer preceded her in death Dec. 5, 1973. Mrs. Haupt was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church and Ladies Aide.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth H. and Ruth A. Haupt of Manitowoc and two grandsons, John Haupt of Clinton, Iowa and Thomas Haupt of Madison, Wis. She was preceded in death by three brothers and seven sisters.
Relatives and friends may meet with the family at First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, from noon on Friday until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to First German Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of funeral arrangements.

The marriage of Miss Clara Mahnke and Elmer Haupt was celebrated Tuesday morning at the parsonage of the German Lutheran Church, Rev. Machiller officiating. The attendants were Miss Elsie Haupt and William Kollath. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. John Krei. The groom is a son of August Haupt, York Street, and is employed
at the General Shops. Mr. and Mrs. Haupt have gone to the Dells on a wedding trip and upon their return will take up their residence on South 15th Street.
