Mrs. Hattie Haupt, 79, a former Manitowoc resident, of 1530 N. 10th St., Sheboygan, died Thursday, October 29, at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Evanelical (sic) Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Glenn H. Unke will officate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Haupt, nee Hattie Baryenbruch, was born Sept. 6, 1903, in Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Henry and Amelia Mathias Baryenbruch. She was married to Milton H. Haupt Sr. Sept. 19, 1925, at Newtonburg in Manitowoc County. Mr. and Mrs. Haupt owned and operated the former Haupt's Tavern at Alverno for many years. He preceded her in death Jan. 14, 1962.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Roy A. and Arlene Haupt, Wayne C. and Jean Haupt and Milton M. Jr. and Gloria Haupt of Manitowoc and Dale R. and Frances Haupt of Libertyville, Ill.; a daughter and son-in-law Carol and James Wolf and a sister, Mrs. Rudolph (Erna) Jaehnig of Manitowoc, 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A grandson, five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday until 11:30 a.m. Monday and at the church from noon until the time of service.
