RUTH HAUPT (d. 2009)
Ruth Haupt, age 88, a Manitowoc resident, passed away peacefully in her sleep on
Tuesday, March 17, 2009.
Ruth was born on May 15, 1920, in Shawano, daughter of the late Arnold and Emma
(Beversdorf) Zachow. She was a 1938 graduate of Shawano High School. Ruth was
married to Kenneth Haupt on Aug. 14, 1948, at St. James Church in Shawano. He
preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 2009. Ruth worked in Manitowoc at Frieder's Bakery
and for many years served a number of roles working for the Manitowoc Public School
District. She was a member of First German Ev. Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by one brother: Arnold Zachow; two sisters and one brother-
in-law: Eleanor Zachow; Vera (Harvey) Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2009, at First German
Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1033 South 8th St., Manitowoc. The Rev. David Rosenow
will officiate with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at
church Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
Memorial donations would be appreciated for First German Evangelical Lutheran Church.
