Ernest S. Haver (photo), 79 of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, died Wednesday afternoon at Holy Famiy Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient four days. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, the Rev. Donald T. Stannard officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. Haver was born July 26, 1879, in Seymour, Wis., son of the late Albert and Ida Putman Haver. On July 10, 1901, he married the former Carrie Wolfe at Appleton. She preceded him in death four years ago.
In 1927 he moved to Manitowoc where he worked as a horse trainer. In 1943? he joined Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., where he worked until his retirement in 1948.

Survivors include five sons, Harland, Lorin and Eugene of Manitowoc, Melbert of Milwaukee and Darrell of New Jersey; four daughters, Mrs. Muriel Weiss of Milwaukee, Mrs. Elwyn Dunst of Wausau and Mrs. William Schneider and Mrs. Edward Lambries of Manitowoc; four sisters, Mrs. Max Heyer of Neenah, Mrs. Herbert Jansen of Wauwatosa, Mrs. Oscar Koeppel of Appleton and Miss Bernice Haver of Milwaukee; 23 grandchidren; and 10 great grandchildren. Three of his grandchildren
he had reared since infancy. They are Robert E. Rickop and Mrs. Paul Grubic of Manitowoc and Mrs. Donald Duetschman of Missouri. A son and a daughter preceded him in death.
