JOSEPH A. HAVLICHEK (d. 1956)

Joseph A. Havlichek, 63, a native of Manitowoc county, died Monday night
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Urbanek and Schlei
Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church. The
Rev. Henry Letz will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Havlichek was born Aug. 14, 1892, in the town of Kossuth, son of the
late Albert and Caroline Kugel Havlichek. He never married. Mr. Havlichek
came to Manitowoc in 193? and was employed as a tinsmith by Manitowoc
Shipbuilding Inc. He was a member of the Boilermaikers Union, Local 443.
Mr. Havlichek resided with a brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Cayemberg, 8?? Wilson St., Manitowoc, until six months ago. Since then he
had made his home with a nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dokey,
Manitowoc.
Surviving him are three sisters, Mrs. Cayemberg and Mrs. Harry Orchekowski
of Manitowoc and Mrs. Henry Basken of Francis Creek. A sister, Mrs. Fred
Krejcarek, preceded him in death in 1938.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday where the
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
