OTTO JAMES HECK (d. 1999)

Otto "Jim" Heck, age 70, a Manitowoc resident, died unexpectedly Sunday, December 5, 1999, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 1999, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1130 S. 9th St., Manitowoc. Rev. Lynn Kollath will officiate with burial of his cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Jim was born September 19, 1929, at Manitowoc, son of the late Otto W. and Irma E. Alberts Heck. He grew up and was educated in Manitowoc, and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1947. He was employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company for many years prior to his retirement. Jim was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Friends of Sinawa, a member of F.O. Eagels Manitowoc Aerie #706, and was active in Boy Scouts, where he received the Silver Beaver Award, and the Order of the Arrow.
Survivors include two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marion E. Nicholas, Vera J. (Goodnow) Torrison, all of Manitowoc; nieces and nephews include, Nancy (Kenneth) Ziarnik, Kay (Dennis) Wergin, all of Manitowoc, Cindy (Charles) McCall, Brookfield, Ronda (Sherri) Torrison, Milton; other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Raymond Nichols, in 1998.
Relatives and friends may call at Wesley United Methodist Church, from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of service.
Memorials to Wesley United Methodist Church, Friends of Sinawa, or the Boy Scouts of America would be appreciated.
