Grace M. Heffernan, age 95, formerly of Milwaukee and a resident of Walnut Grove Assisted Living in Manitowoc, died Tuesday afternoon, April 12, 2011, at Walnut Grove Assisted Living.
The former Grace Rosinsky was born on July 19, 1915, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Richard and Josephine (Fricke) Rosinsky. She attended Manitowoc Schools. On November 27, 1942, she married to Milton Heffernan at Dubuque, IA. Milton preceded her in death on September 3, 1960. In the past, Grace worked for the Pabst Brewery Company and retired in 1979 after working there for 37 years.
Survivors include one niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Richard and Josephine Rosinsky; her husband: Milton Heffernan; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: George (Irene) Rosinsky; Harry (Orea) Rosinsky; one sister and brother-in-law: Margaret (Gordon) Hall.
Cremation will take place with burial of her cremated remains at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday April 20, 2011 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. The Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory of Manitowoc is serving the family. Online condolences may be sent to www.jensreinboldandpfeffer.com.
