JAMES HEFFERNAN

James Heffernan, 73, of 427 North Ninth street, died early today at the home,
following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek
and Schlei funeral home, and at 9 o’clock from the Sacred Heart church. Burial
will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Heffernan was born in Glenmore, Brown county, in 1868 and in 1907 married
Miss Catherine Morris of Osman. They located on a farm in Glenmore. In 1911
they moved to this city, which has since been their home. He was a member of
the Holy Name society of the Sacred Heart congregation.
Survivors are the widow; four sons, Milton, and Paul of this city, Francis of
Two Rivers, William, located at Camp Polk, La.; three daughters, Mrs. Albert
Pierson, Alice and Catherine, all of this city; two sisters, Mrs. John Murphy
of Minneapolis, Miss Cora Heffernan of Detroit; and three grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after 7 o’clock tonight. The rosary
will be recited at the funeral home Friday at 8 p.m.
