MRS. HEIDORF DIES AT HOME
Conversing With Members of Family Before Attack
While conversing with her husband and children at the home, 2115 Washington
street, Saturday evening, Mrs. John Heidorf, 78, a resident of Manitowoc for
nearly 50 years, was stricken with heart attack. She toppled from the
davenport and died before a physician could be summoned.
Mrs. Heidorf, although not feeling well since the middle of last week, had
been able to be up and seemed to be improved Saturday evening, until just
before she was stricken.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Shimek and Schwartz
funeral home in charge of Rev. William Hood, with interment in Evergreen
cemetery.
The maiden name of the deceased was Martha Wirth and she was born in Green Bay
where she grew to womanhood and was married there 57 years ago to John Heidorf.
Nearly 50 years ago they removed to this city where Mr. Heidorf was employed
for many years at the Rahr malting plant.
Besides the husband, the deceased is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Ralph
Jones, Mrs. Joseph Trost, and Mrs. Frank Fuller, all of this city, and Mrs.
William Merck, of Chilton, four sons, Philip and Bernard of this city, John
of Indianapolis, and Michael of Grand Rapids, Mich., one sister, Mrs. Matt
Anheuser, Green Bay, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, John
and Charles Klinkner.
The remains may be viewed at the Shimek and Schwartz parlors up to the hour
of the funeral.
