Mrs. Dorothy J. Heier, 61, of 936 Rosemere Circle, Manitowoc, died unexpectedly
Friday, April 29, 1988, at the family residence. Funeral services will be 9:30 am
Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 am at Holy Innocents Catholic Church,
Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Jeff VandenHeuvel
and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Dorothy Jean Hardina was born February 6, 1927 at Menchalville, Manitowoc County,
daughter of Henry Hardina and the late Helen Kocian Hardina. She attended Lincoln
High School, Manitowoc. She married Leo A. Heier on May 21, 1947 at Sacred Heart
Catholic church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include her husband, Leo A. (Spitz) Heier; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike
and Laurie Heier of Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shelly and Charles
Morrison of Miami, Florida and Pam and Paul Junk of Manitowoc; her father, Henry
Hardina of Manitowoc; a sister, Janice Wurth of Manitowoc; a brother-in-law, R. W.
St. John of Brookfield, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren, Lee, Scott, Dean, Casey, Toby,
Holly, Jennifer, Lisa and David; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also
survive. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry and a sister, Mary Ann St. John.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 4 pm to 9 pm Monday where a prayer service
will be at 7:30 pm by Deacon Paul Kieffer.
