Mrs. Wilhelm (Helene) Hemme, 79, of 1433 North 6th Street, Manitowoc, died
Tuesday, June 3, 1986 at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will
be 11:30 am Monday at Reinbold-Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
Rev. John H. Rasmussen will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mrs. Hemme was born November 18, 1906 in Germany, daughter of the late Carl and
Maria Hartjen VanAllen. She grew up and was educated in Germany. She married
Wilhelm Hemme on November 28, 1925. She and her husband came to the United States
in 1949, moving to Manitowoc in 1966.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Thomas F. Rider, Jr. of Connecticut,
Patricia P. Dombeck of California and Heidi C. DePuy of Alaska; four great
grandchildren; a sister, Herta Witt of Delaware and a brother, Carl VanAllen
of New Yorks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilhelm in 1970 and a
daughter, Ilse H. Rider in 1983.

to 8 pm Sunday and Monday to the time of services.
