Wilhelm Hemme, 68, of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, died Friday at home.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul Blaufuss will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Hemme was born Nov. 3, 1902, at Gilten, Germany, son of the late Carl and
Emma Bohlman Hemme. He married Helene VanAllen Nov. 28, 1925, at Bremen, Germany.
The couple came to the United States in 1949. Mr. Hemme was a miller by trade
retiring in 1966 and moving to Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Ilse) Rider, of Rt. 4,
Manitowoc; a brother, Georg, of Bremen, Germany; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Kohler,
Mrs. Ida Koch, Mrs. Auguste Hoffschmidt and Mrs. Martha Muller, all of Bremen,
Germany; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home (Ninth Street entrance) after 3 p.m. Sunday
until the time of services Monday.
