Death Thursday last week of 92-yr. old Fred Henning, an old German settler of
our county who has been here since 1855. Mr. Henning came directly here from
Germany and settled on a farm in Town Newton which he worked for 32 years.
Following the death of his wife 19 years ago he moved to Manitowoc. His death
occurred in the residence of his granddaughter, Mrs. Emilie Klett. He leaves 5
children. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the German Methodist Church.
