Harold R. Herman, 65, of Rt. 1, Whitelaw, died Tuesday afternoon at his
residence.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Reformed United Church of
Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. William A. Schultz will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Herman was born July 29, 1908, at Manitowoc Rapids, son of the late Charles
and Mary Puehler Herman. He married Esther Krueger Dec. 22, 1949, at Chilton.
They owned and operated a farm on Rt. 2, Manitowoc, for 16 years, moving to
their present address six years ago. Mr. Herman also had been employed at the
Manitowoc County Health Care Center.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Eugene, of Elkhart, Ind., and Rick, at
home; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Janis) Meissner, of Rt. 2, Two Rivers; three
brothers, Clarence and Phil, of Manitowoc and Carl, of Green Bay and five
grandchildren. A brother, Floyd, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday
until noon Friday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body
will lie in state until the time of service.
