LEONA B. (LEDVINA) HEROLD
Mrs. Leona B. Herold, 72, Manitowoc, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 1989 at home. She was
born January 12, 1917, in the Town of Franklin, Manitowoc Co, daughter of the
late Edward and Theresa (Sleger) Ledvina. She grew up and was educated at Maribel.
On September 4, 1934 she married Sylvester J. Herold at St. Joseph Catholic
Church, Kellnersville. He preceded her in death March 23, 1979.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, S. Lewellyn and Gayle,
Indianapolis, Indiana and G. Wayne and Carol, Manitowoc; six grandchildren; two
great granddaughters; a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Mary Margaret
Ledvina, Green Bay; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Marion and Adolph
Frelich and Mrs. Elinor Steinbrecker, all of Manitowoc, Grace and John Quinlan,
Green Bay, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Janice May; two brothers,
Clarence and Edward and a sister, Lillian Hamernik. Funeral is at 10 a.m. Thursday
at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc with Rev. Jeff Vandenheuvel officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Memorials may be made to United
Way of Manitowoc and Holy Innocents Parish.
