SYLVESTEER J. HEROLD

Sylvester J. Herold, 70, of 1234 S. 12th St., Manitowoc, died Friday afternoon in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home and 11:30 a.m. in St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Theodore J. Hendricks will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Herold was born Nov. 20, 1908, in the Township of Cooperstown, Manitowoc County, son of the late Joseph and Ann Kunesh Herold. He grew up and was educated in the Township of Cooperstown. He was a cheesemaker at Maribel Dairy for many years. Mr. Herold moved to Manitowoc in 1962 where he was employed at Mirro Aluminum Company until his retirement in 1974. He had been employed with Schuette Bros. in Manitowoc since 1974. he married Leona Ledvina Sept. 4, 1934, in Kellnersvile. Mr. Herold was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Survivors include to sons and daughters-in-law, Lewellyn and Sue Lynn Herold of Indianapolis, Ind., and Wayne and Carol Herold of Rt. 2, Manitowoc; three brothers, Bernard Herold of Casco and Joseph and Robert Herold of Rt. 3, Denmark; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Gladys) Suchomel of Whitelaw and Mrs. Ralph (Mary Jane) Keehan of Denmark; six grandchildren and a great grandchild. An infant daughter, Janice Mae and a sister, Frances Bradly (sic), preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home from 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Sunday evening where a parish vigil will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.
