RICHARD D. HOCHSTETLER II

Richard D. Hochstetler II, age 17, of 4024 County Trunk CR, Manitowoc, died
early Sunday morning, January 10, 1999, due to a hit and run accident.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 15, 1999, at the
Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev.
Kenneth Dowdy with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born May 13, 1981, in Davenport, Iowa, son of Michael Hochstetler and
Debra Wetenkamp. Rick was attending Lincoln High School and was currently
employed at Hardee's of Manitowoc.
Survivors include his mother, Debra Wetenkamp and her husband, Richard, Manitowoc;
his father, Michael Hochstetler and his wife Mary, Rockford, Ill.; two sisters,
Janelle Hochstetler and Nicole Hochstetler, both at home in Manitowoc; one step-
sister, Rachael Hochstetler, Rockford, Ill.; paternal grandparents, Richard D.
and Mary E. Hochstetler, Moline, Ill.; maternal grandmother, Gail Woody, Harbor
Beach, Mich.; three uncles, Kirk Hochstetler, Livingston, N.Y., Lee Woody, Cliff
Woody, and an aunt, Sheila Winkel, all of Harbor Beach, Mich. Also surviving are
other relatives and friends. Rick was preceded in death by his maternal grand-
father, Clarence Bradley; his maternal great-grandmother, Myrtle Both; and an
uncle, Kevin Hochstetler.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, Thursday evening, from
4-8 p.m. and Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
My son, my brother, we laughed, we cried, we hugged, we fought, we remained
strong. We don't always have the answers in life, and in death, but we know,
no matter what we do and where we are, our special bond, our hearts, will be
together.
We miss you, Mom, Janelle and Nicole.
