George T. Hodas, age 80, of 630 S. 18th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday
afternoon, November 7, 1995, at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 10, 1995,
at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home. Rev. Richard H. Heymen
will officiate with burial at the Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Hodas was born March 31, 1915, in Manitowoc, son of the late
George and Sabina Porubcansky Hodas. On October 8, 1938, he married
the former Lucille R. Kloida at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
George worked for Manitowoc Shipbuilding as a young man, serving his
apprenticeship as a Tool and Die Maker. In 1954, he began working for
the Aluminum Specialty Company until his retirement. He was a member
of the St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc, Eagles Aerie #706,
Manitowoc, and a past member of the Izaak Walton League Chapter 138
of Manitowoc. George was a gunsmith most of his life and in the past
he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille R. Hodas, Manitowoc; three sons and
two daughters-in-law, Robert Hodas, Manitowoc, Roger and Anita Hodas,
Madison, Wis., Daniel and Coleen Hodas, Manitowoc; five grandchildren,
Kya and Ben Hodas, Tiffany Hodas, Sue Hodas, Judy Denor; two sisters,
Rose Loritz, Manitowoc, Kate Nelson, Crandon, Wis.; nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by
one brother, Frank Hodas; four sisters, Josephine Shiper, Sarina Chizek,
Ann Keefe, Evelyn Aschenbrenner; a grandson, Phillip Hodas.

Home on Thursday (TONIGHT) from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 a.m.
until the time of service.
