Mrs. Lars Simpson Haines, a resident of this city in the early 70s died at her
home at Wittenberg yesterday and her remains will be brought to this city for
burial. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon with services at the chapel
at Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Haines was past eighty years of age and is survived by three daughters.
Older residents here will remember her as Mrs. Simpson, wife of Capt. Simpson,
who died many years ago. It was the wish of Mrs. Haines to be buried in the family
lot at Evergreen and it is in compliance with her wishes that her remains are being
brought here for burial.
