ARLINE HOLDORF
Arline C. Holdorf, age 61, of 1419 S. 19th St., Manitowoc, died early Wednesday
morning, December 11, 1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 13, 1996, at the Pfeffer
Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Robert Meyer with
burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born April 4, 1935, in the town of Bates, upper Michigan, daughter of the
late Ener and Emily Budzak Johnson. She was a graduate of Stambaugh High School in
Stambaugh, Mich., with the class of 1953. On November 15, 1958, she married William
Holdorf in Chicago, Ill. Arline was actively involved with her husband as a
volunteer for the local Kenny’s Softball Club for many years. She also was a
chaperone for the Royal Knights Drum and Bugle Corp of Manitowoc.
Survivors include her husband, William Holdorf; a daughter and son-in-law, Julie
and Scott Gilbert; a son and daughter-in-law, Steig and Laurie Holdorf, all of
Manitowoc; three grandchildren, Tyler, Eric and Emilee; three step-grandchildren,
Rene, Kaleena and Katie-Jo; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Curt and Roseann
Johnson, Manitowoc, Dennis and Ruthann Johnson, Marquette, Mich.; along with nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a son,
Robert William.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday from
12 noon until the time of service at 1 p.m.
Our Grandma
Our grandma left us today,
But we know she’s not far away.
She will be our angel from up above,
To guide and watch and send her love.
When we look in the sky at night,
We know that glimmering star that shines so bright.
