Mrs. Lillian Holdorff (sic), 72, of Manitou Manor, died Monday evening at
Manitowoc Manor, following a coronary attack.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. N. W. Kock will officiate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Holdorff, nee Lillian Groth, was born July 9, 1898, in the Town of Liberty,
Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Ernest and Wihelmina Bruns Groth. She
moved to Manitowoc as a child with her parents. She was married to Herman W.
Holdorff Oct. 19, 1920. Her husband preceded her in death July 10, 1959. Mrs.
Holdorff was a member of the Ladies Aid of the church.
Survivors include three sons, Edwin and Earl of Manitowoc, and Herman of
Appleton; two daughters, Mrs. M.C. Wilcox of Manitowoc and Mrs. Merlin Liebzeit
of Appleton; two stepsons, Alvin of Manitowoc and Elmer of California; a brother,
Erwin, of Manitowoc; 24 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. A daughter,
two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m. Thursday.
The casket will be moved to the church Friday at noon to lie in state until the
time of services.
