Amanda C. Holsen, 90, of 934 North 11th Street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday
afternoon, April 11, 1990, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m.
at Holy Innocents Catholic Church Manitowoc. Presiding the Mass of Christian
Burial will be Rev. Leo J. Schmitt with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
She was born November 24, 1899, in the Town of Manitowoc, daughter of the late
Henry and Elizabeth Schlier Kleckner. She married Alan A. Holsen on October 27,
1920, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on
March 17, 1970. Mrs. Holsen was a charter member of Holy Innocents Catholic
Church and a member of the Christian Women of Holy Innocents. She was also a
member of the Catholic Womens Club, Senior Citizens and the American Association
of Retired People.
Survivors include two sons and three daughters-in-law, Edward and Carole Holsen
of Valders, William and Carol Holsen of Manitowoc, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Holsen of
Manitowoc; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by a son, Robert, a daughter, Carol, three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Prayer Service
will be held at 7:30 p.m. led by Deacon Donald Gigure.

Miss Amanda Kleckner and Mr. Albert Holsen, both of this city, were married
yesterday morning at six o'clock, Rev. Peil officiating. Miss Elizabeth Holsen,
sister of the groom and Arthur Kleckner, brother of the bride were attendants.
After the ceremony a dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents. Mr.
and Mrs. Holsen left for Milwaukee and Detroit for a wedding trip and will
return here to make their home at 815 North Tenth Street.
The bride is employed in the office of the Aluminum Goods Manufacturing Company
and the groom is an employee of the Pech garage.
