Earl R. Holub, 74, of 2211 West Street, Manitowoc, died early Saturday morning, October 5, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home. Rev. Al Klumb will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Holub was born March 19, 1911 at Manitowoc, Wisconsin, son of the late John and Martha Miller Holub. Mr. Holub resided in Manitowoc most of his life and attended Manitowoc Public Schools. He married the former Evelyn Cordes on November 28, 1938 at Manitowoc. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Holub was employed at Mirro Aluminum Company for over 50 years where he held the position of Supervisor. Mr. Holub was a Veteran of World War II serving from August, 1943 to January, 1956 with the United States Army 503 Parachute Division.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; two sons, Leon and Jon Holub, both of Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Francis Denault of Manitowoc and Suzanne and Frederick Sieracki of Northeim; a brother and sister-in-law, Elsworth and Theresa Holub of Manitowoc; a sister and a brother-in-law, Luella and Harry Herion of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren and a great grandchild also survived. He was preceded in death by a sister, Delores.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Monday evening. Military rites will be accorded Mr. Holub at the graveside by VFW Otto Oas Post Number 659.
