Helen F. Hooper, 74, of Rockford, Illinois, formerly a Manitowoc
resident, died early Thursday morning, July 27, 1989 at Rockford.
Funeral services will be 9:30 am Saturday at Harrigan Parkside
Funeral Home and 10 am at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Rev. Jeff VandenHeuvel will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial
and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Hooper was born July 15, 1915 at Manitowoc Rapids, daughter of
the late Frank and Anna Koerner Zimmer. She married Emanuel (Speed)
Hooper, February 14, 1936 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He
preceded her in death in 1974.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Alfred J. and
Joanne Hooper of Whitelaw, Richard E. and Laurel Hooper of Manitowoc,
John C. Hooper of Roanoke, Virginia and Mark M. and Renee Hooper of
Denver, Colorado; a daughter and son-in-law, Kay P. and Thomas Steeber
of Rockford, Illinois; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by an infant son, 3 brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 pm to
9 pm Friday, where a prayer service will be at 7 pm led by Deacon Donald
Gigure.
